Employment Opportunities for Telephone Interviewers

Overview
CMOR, located in the Portage Lakes in Akron, OH, is looking for telephone interviewers to conduct interviews on various public opinion issues. CMOR Interviewers work a minimum of 3 sessions per week (approx. 12 hrs) and may be required to work 2 weekend shifts per month, if needed. Interviewing shifts begin at 5:30 pm and end at 9:30 pm. An additional start time of 6:00 to accommodate Interviewers who need a later start time is available. This is a part-time, hourly position, evenings and weekends, with active employment only during times that there is work. New interviewers start at a rate of $8.50/hour.
Responsibilities
Absolutely no sales involved. Interviewers contact respondents by telephone and ask questions while accurately recording answers using a specially designed computer program which will lead the interviewer through the survey. All information gathered during interviewing (including phone numbers and respondent characteristics) must be kept confidential.
Requirements
We are looking for dependable, motivated, and articulate individuals. Interviewers should have a clear speaking voice and be willing to follow set procedures. Ability to thrive in a team-centered environment is necessary. Training will be provided. Candidates must be able to attend scheduled training. These are excellent positions in a pleasant environment where team members are appreciated. Typing proficiency and familiarity with computers is required. Preference is given to candidates with past experience in opinion research, telemarketing, or collections. Candidates must undergo a background check and must be able to complete interviews with confidence and at an efficient and productive pace while maintaining a minimum weekly production rate.
