Introduction to Data Analysis and Reports: Use Your Data To Take Action and WOW People!
Target audience: This workshop is geared towards individuals who are responsible for conducting or overseeing survey research projects such as an employee satisfaction survey, a customer/client satisfaction study, needs assessment, event feedback, or any other project in which data analysis and report writing are appropriate. This workshop is geared towards individuals with a basic to intermediate understanding of research and data analysis.
Description: This workshop provides participants with the background, knowledge, and tools to interpret data and report the results in a way that is understandable for your intended audience. Even if you work with another organization that collects data for you, this workshop will give you the knowledge and tools to better interpret the results as well as to run additional analyses as the need arises.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- Things to do before you start analysis - setting up the database, data entry, data cleaning
- Creating a data analysis plan
- How to use excel to generate descriptive statistics
- How to determine statistically significant differences: t-tests and Chi-square tests
- How to transform and recode data
- Coding qualitative data to be analyzed using quantitative statistics
- How to organize your data for maximum effectiveness in the report
- Charts and graphs for different question types
- Formatting tips for a compelling report
