Target audience: This workshop is geared towards individuals who are responsible for conducting or overseeing survey research projects such as an employee satisfaction survey, a customer/client satisfaction survey, needs assessment, event feedback, or any other project in which a survey is appropriate. This workshop is geared towards individuals whith a basic to intermediate understanding of survey research.
Description: This workshop provides participants with the background, knowledge, and tools to successfully design and administer a research project through various methods including telephone, mail, and online.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- The advantages and disadvantages of different survey administration methods
- How to define your target audience and geographic area
- Different methods of designing samples and the advantages and disadvantages of each
- Overview of the administration of a research study using different methods (telephone, online, mail, and face to face interviews)
- Techniques for increasing response rates, minimizing non-response bias, and collecting quaility data

- Identify the type of survey administration that best meets your project needs
- Successfully administer a survey (telephone, mail, online)
- Define and create a valid survey sample
- Utilize techniques to increase response rates and minimize non-response bias
